HOUSE ON THE ROCK INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY: is a ministry dedicated to fellowship, prayer and intercession as we pray for lost souls. We are also interested in partnerships that will help us to build the work of God. Our aim is to equip the church and leaders to exert outstanding leadership and exemplary Christian attitudes and behavior.
VISION AND DIRECTION: This ministry has been founded on the Word of God, the visions and words that God gives us, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as he helps us to discern the direction God has for us. We spent most our time in prayer and fasting and reading the scriptures. We are God’s vessels on earth to reflect the kingdom of God in all we do. We are open to ideas and suggestions that will enhance God’s work in line with the vision and direction of God for the ministry.
WEDDING DAY: SUNDAY 30 AUGUST 2009.- PLEASE MARK THIS EVENT ON YOUR CALENDAR This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Let us continue to pray for the event and for the hand of God to be revealed on this day
LAST WEEK WORSHIP INCLUDED: - Intercession, praise and worship and a Word about serving God wholeheartedly. Judges 14:6-15 HEBRON GIVEN TO CALEB (All heart). Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-barnea. Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. And the name of Hebron before was Kirjath-arba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war. God delivered the children of Israel from slavery with signs and wonders. The Israelites had to fight various tribes on their way. If you want something you have to fight for it. They had to destroy the Amelekites, Hittites, etc in order to conquer and there was peace. We also need to destroy things in our lives for peace to reign in us. God instructed Moses to choose 12 men from each tribe to go and spy the land and Joshua and Caleb were among them. Numbers 13: 30-33. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Everyone else feared the giants except Joshua and Caleb. The issue is not about hearing or seeing but action. Once we doubt, we create giants for ourselves. Caleb was at a high level of understanding and trusted God. He was confident in God and believed his word. We need to do the same. Numbers 14: 22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; God wants us to repent for doubting him yet we have seen so many miracles he has perfomed. God wants us to destroy all giants in our lives (doubts, fears, sin etc) so that we can wholeheartedly serve him. All those who doubted and complained died in the wilderness. When God speaks and promises us, it is done. TWe need to trust him. God gives us good health, strength and vision. (1) Caleb had to request – he held on to his promise despite the number of years. We also need to remind God of his promises (2) He embarked on warfare in order to possess – We need to embark on spiritual warfare to release our blessings. (3) We need to claim our promises (4) We need to wait upon the Lord (5) We should let God dwell in us always (6) We should repent always. (7) We should trust and believe in God. John 14:1: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [Message by Pastor Stanley Malele]
AUGUST PRAYER NIGHT: Friday 7 August: venue to be announced PRAYER REQUESTS: Please call the pastors for your prayer requests
THIS MONTH, continue to be an instrument of transformation in the nation by being one of the thousands of people committed to praying every day for their own country. PRAY FOR the powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the church leaders and the national leaders for wisdom and understanding.
ARTICLE 1: Please read the article attached from Judy Bauman from the jewels from Judy. Take note of the last part which is very essential to our Christian growth. A time with the Lord is worth every investment. We need to bring ourselves into his presence more often and experience his goodness and fellowship. Note that she says from the time of the vision until now (a) she has experienced many amazing times with the Lord. (b) Whenever she sees Him at the River, the Lord reveals a very calm and peaceful demeanour. (c) She counts it a privilege that the Lord shows her a humorous side of Himself. Because of the way He has opened the Scriptures to backup what He says and does when He is teaching. (d) She has come to trust His voice and what He is showing her. (e) She knows her Shepherd's voice. When you have been with the Good Shepherd, you can tell who is a counterfeit. Judy’s prayer is that by sharing her experience (1). You will be moved to find time to set apart and spend
with the Lord. (2). You will allow the Lord to reveal Himself to you in the unique manner that only He can do. (3). You will seek Him in a deeper way and will find Him in a deeper way (for he is no respecter of persons). If you are already be doing this, stay encouraged. (4) It may take some time, but He will show up if you continue to wait on Him. (5). This is not about studying or praying, which is important, but this is about "being still" and knowing He is God. (6). Practice being quiet in His presence. Whenever possible get in and stay in His presence until He releases you. (7). Take notes of what you see and hear - invest your time in Him as the wise virgins did in Matthew 25. Their story is proof that investing in extra oil is worthy of your time and effort.
